12 week blowdry

I have been reading a lot about the 12 week blow dry (Brazilian hair treatment) but didn't fancy the expensive price tag of a salon doing it. So I have purchased the liquid myself and had a go today So far so good, hair feels nice and soft, shiney and straight.

I will not be able to wash it for 3 days

It did take me 1 hour and 15 mins to do the treatment and I will report back what my hair is like after the first couple of washes.

It is not meant to straighten your hair just takes it less fly away (and frizzy)

Re: 12 week blowdry

Hi Donna,

Sorry I think I have confused you, I got mine from Ebay - the link above was to give details of the treatment.

The link to the ebayer is

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/QOD-Max-Brazil...raighteners_PP

Very quick delivery (delivered within 2 days - recorded post)

Well today everybody was commenting on how my hair looks, it is still very straight and shiney.

Tomorrow will be the second day and on Monday I can give it it's first wash and see exactly how my hair has taken the treatment. The treatment in salons cost from £130 and Toni and Guy start off at £165 to £220 - I can understand them charging this as it took me 1 hour 15 mins to do the treatment and I have fine hair.

Re: 12 week blowdry

Thanks Emma. It says you need to use special shampoo/conditioner after without sodium chloride... what shampoo do you use?

Re: 12 week blowdry

I am going to use the shampoo that they sent with it at the moment - it is a 100ml bottle which will last me a few weeks.

You can buy shampoo in Boots that does not have sodium chloride in it - I am doing to pop to Lakeside tomorrow - I think it was trevor sorbie - colour one - that was free of sodium chloride. As soon as I have found some I will let you know.

If you do want to try it Donna - if my hair turns out ok I am going to pop to the hairdresser wholesalers next week and get a large supply - I can decant some into a bottle and send you some.
