Re: World Cup 2006!

I prefer Portugal to Holland though! So many yellow cards were given out tonight so the Portugese will have to be very careful when they face England!

I thought it was through the excitement of scoring but he said he didn't feel right before the game.......

Re: World Cup 2006!

I think the total was 14 yellow cards and 4 red cards in the Holland Portugal game tonight - bodes well for England I think I hope (fingers crossed) but the history of previous games between England and Portugal is in Englands favour I hope it continues - but we need Lampard and Gerrard to put the ball home and Rooney to sharpen up the little bit more but he played the whole 90+ minutes so that bodes well I think.

I wonder why we took Theo Walcott I can't see him ever playing. we need a striker

Re: World Cup 2006!

I thought wayne rooney was brillant tonight just showing that he aint going to be held down by his injury just no one made an opening for him to score....and walcott right he is good but he aint experienced enough and i agree with sven keep him on the bench lol...he is one of those lads that like to take glory for himself and not work with the team to score and that is dangerous this far in the game thats all he will get his chance tho!

Re: World Cup 2006!

i thinkt he lads palyed well, but did think Rooney seemd a little sluggish last night. understnadable given his recent injury.

I agree onw alcotte though, give the lad a game, why take him out there to sit on the bench? Even the last ten minutes or so of a game would be good for him.

Just cos he's a new young player doenst mean he'll muck up. IT was a good game though last night, roll on the next match!

I hope for their sakes that England don't lose on Saturday, it would be a shame to see those lovely smiles disappear from their little faces..........
