Cat trees

I downloaded a book yesterday called 'Starting from Scratch' - and he is really big on giving cats lots of special things. His big thing is Cat trees. I have never had one but I thought would ask has anyone any thoughts on this?

Re: Cat trees

I think you may need Moli as the cat tree expert!

My daughter has recently got one for her 3 orientals from this company.

I've never used a scratching post/cat tree before my current boys (don't think they were much in vogue 15-20 years ago when I last had kittens) but I'm very pleased with the bog-standard cheapo-cheapo Lidl and Argos ones I have now. The boys don't claw furniture or carpets, genuinely seem to enjoy giving the sisal/carpet covered posts a good seeing too and also like 'just sitting' in a high spot.

Re: Cat trees

Leia ignores hers! But most cats really really enjoy them, sure others will be on with tales, and suggestions of the best types.

Re: Cat trees

Wow, great link DM, especially for those with bengals etc.
There are loads of different cats trees and the price range varies too.

Re: Cat trees

After trying all kinds of scratchers, that did not last me long, due to having very distructive cats, I got this link from a member on here, and ordered the Polecat, that was 2 years ago and its still as good as new...
