I'll be taking the laptop but it won't have internet connection so will have to rely on library computers for the internet.

Update:

I'm definately going for a month, whether I'll stay any longer depends on circumstances.

Dylan's still coming with me (he might help younger brother)

Sorry I have missed this post RCR. I do hope all goes well for your move and your brother and also for your Gran and Dylan too. Good luck. Do you know when you will be moving yet?

This coming Tuesday. Would it be worth changing Dylan's microchip details yet do you think angie? Considering I don't know yet whether it's a permanent move?

Re: Advice needed please

I don't know how the ID from a microchip works. If he were lost and the finder took him to his/her vet to be checked, would it show your name and former address or that of your vet? If the latter, I'd just tell your vet your new address for now and wait until you're permanently settled to have a new chip installed.

Re: Advice needed please

Some chip firms charge for any change to their database. It would probably be worth ringing the firm and asking the best way forward, seeing that it may not be a permanent move. That's what I would do.
