Smudgley

You have become an inspiration to me I have emailed and left a phone message at my own local CP and have offered my services as a homehecker and possible can shaker and driver.

I figure its the least I can do for all the years of love I have had from Oz and Cleo and I have a little spare time, in between staffie homechecks, PAT dog with Sal, walking for the cinnamon trust, not to mention work, family and of course the "girls" makes me wonder where I get the time to breath from. But hey you do what you can.

You are my inspiration on this. So Ta Kelly.

Oh Kazz - that's great - well done you. Is it SB? or NB?

Well done Kazz!! Must admit I have found out where my local CP shelter is and it is only a few miles from my house. Was also thinking of doing something. Dont know if they would need any help, or what I could do, but as you say Smudgley is an inspiration....

Re: Smudgley

You go girl

I can only speak for my branch - but I'm sure some others are the same.

We struggle for fosterers, have no specific homecheckers, and currently no treasurer.

Noone to do vet runs.

I really would help more but with my 4 pens full most of the time, it takes up my time to look after them, there's a lot of paperwork involved when rehoming each cat so that takes time too, which means as I work full time too I am limited to what else I can do, with these "H litter" kittens, I'm having to give them as much time as I can to try & socialise them.
What I'm trying to say is, we struggle for helpers & we have 1 lady who seems to do everything, all the homechecks, brings all the cats in, coordinates everyone. If your branches are like mine they would benefit greatly from a little help, even just a couple of hours a week doing a couple of home checks.

well done Kazz for offering to help & well done Donna for thinking about it

Re: Smudgley

Hey up I thought I may be a square peg not being able to foster or anything but maybe not. I mean I am capable of running a store with 200+ staff taking a millions a week, and doing budgets so I am sure I can help out with paperwork etc etc. You have given me a little more faith that I may be wanted.
