Companion for Bailey

She's 8 months old and I want to get her a companion.

I'm getting her spayed and just wondered if it's best to get a female or male and whether she had a friend the same age or if younger is okay...

any advice?

Katie

Re: Companion for Bailey

I'd probably go for a cat around the same age.

My preference would be male, but I've had male/male female/female in the past and it's been ok. Suppose it depends on the cat.

I wouldn't get one until few weeks after her op. Just to give her time to recover and not feel threatened by coming home to a strange cat in her house.

Re: Companion for Bailey

i was also going to say the same age-ish or a little younger & male

also look at the personailtys, if she is mega outgoing & playful get a kitten who is the same, if she is very laidback get a middle of the road cat not one that will jump all over her etc .... cant wait for pics!
