Oh clever girl! It is an inbuilt instinct, they just 'know' how don't they?

Very impressive, I bet you feel better now knowing she got it for you!

Oh my yes!! While I don't like mice, I'm not scared of them . they're just annoying, but a rat !!! I've lived here all my life and never ever had a rat!! I was horrified to see it and so glad my valiant little girl dispatched it so quickly! I will definitely sleep better knowing now that she's a ratter! And yes, she got treats and oodles of cuddling and praise for being such a good girl!

It's amazing what killing instinct a cat will harbour . . . mine only muster (just about) enough energy to see off a spider

Leia can truly pat herself on the back - job well done there

She's done a good neat job of it too, no mess. Clever AND efficient!

Unlike a certain clarty boy of mine, she could teach him a thing or 2 about hunting the ACCEPTABLE way without causing a massacre!

While I certainly didn't want to inspect it too closely, Random, it looked as if she did the classic nape bite that severs the spinal cord...quick and deadly! Isn't instinct amazing? This from a gentle, laid back (OK, a bit lazy!) house cat with no real hunting experience at all... .......
