Dylan's been to the vets

I noticed this morning that Dylan just wasn't eating and kept grinding his teeth when he tried to eat, so got an appointment at the vets for him this afternoon. Vet says Dylan's fine medically, she wants to see him again monday and said to monitor him over the weekend. He's had a metacam injection in case he's in pain, dylanstroker put olive oil over his food (vet suggested that might encourage him to eat). She checked his teeth, temperature etc and found nothing wrong. If he's still not well Monday she said to take him in again. The olive oil isn't persuading him to eat yet,we need Dylan Eat vibes please (before monday).

Re: Dylan's been to the vets

The vet thinks it's either due to the stress of the house move or his fights with the black and white cat.

He's been sick just now, thrown up what little I got him to eat

sorry to hear Dylan isn't feeling himself.
Hope he manages to eat something soon and keep it down.
Have you tried him with cooked chicken ?
Will he drink catmilk ?

Good idea to get him checked by the vet. Hope he settles soon and starts eating. Maybe keep him in for a bit and get him calm indoors so he is only coping with a small change in his surroundings? Feliway plug ins can help.

Re: Dylan's been to the vets

He's had a bit of ham last night and kept it down, fed him a bit of pork this morning and so far he's kept that down too He didn't finish his pork though, not drinking so I'm having to syringe water into him. He likes cat milk but he's just not interested in drinking, he's perked up a little though, was playing with one of dylanstroker's shoes earlier. We tried keeping him in but he made it clear he wanted out a few days ago so sneaked out while dylanstroker was putting something in the outside bin (Dylan knows where home is)

He was exploring everywhere at the vets and seemed happy enough but just wasn't eating yesterday. He had a little bit to drink yesterday but just doesn't want to drink today.

I tried him with feliway back in Yorkshire (when he picked fights with a neighbour's cat there) but he decided to spray on the feliway diffuser.

good to hear that Dylan has managed to eat something, i hope this continues and also that he manages to drink soon.
It's good that he's had a little play too.
