Up to the Giant for Leia's special food (and my slice of mousse cake!); won't need to go out during the rains. My heat's been on for ages; when it gets too cool the thermostat kicks on automatically. No-cook Monday, ham and cheese sandwich on a sesame seed bun, curried cauliflower and crisps tonight.

Leia took an unusual mad spell this morning tearing about the house as if her tail were on fire, dashed on the porch and climbed half-way up the screen! Back to her placid self now having a nap.

PP, hope the greenhouse will stop doing a walk-about in its new location! Ironing - bah!! CM, enjoy the long weekend, hope the new paint job will suit. Kazz, I've never had plaice, sounds nice.

Enjoy the day!!
DM - did you ever post the recipe for that?? I'd really like to try it.

Yes she does Angie, with having a very short fine coat she feels the cold.

Not exactly a recipe, I just put some hot curry powder in the bowl, add a knob of butter and a few grinds of pepper, some hot water to make a runny sauce and pour it over the cauliflower. Nothing fancy, but I like it.

OK - I'll give it a go - love cauli and curry so should tick both boxes.

Evening all, first frost this morning, had to scrape the car windows, but it was a beautiful day, spent a few hours up the forest with the dogs, then back to housework , shopping, have actually bought some C....presents...

Re: Bit of a slow start Monday?

hi all. cold up here! had my nephew for a few hours today, he normally wrecks my house so i took him out for a wander about the shops. all was fine until his dad met us in tesco to take us home. now he is a year and a half and has developed a new trick-throwing up when he doesnt get his own way
so, my bro goes up one isle, leaving me with the pram, right on cue he starts screaming, then comes the puke. lovely.
i'm sooo glad i dont have kids
