Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

Morning. A damp night here too and a dull dark start but I think it will brighten up eventually. I'll head of gardening then.
Well, next door's move still hasn't finished! The van came back this morning and has been picking up bits - pots from the garden etc. I think they may have slept there last night too, so they'll be packing a bed. What a palarver! I know they didn't do a bit of packing (kitchen, clothes etc) so i guess it's just taking time for the men to do all that. I wouldn't like somebody going through all my things, thankyou
Hope everyone has a nice day - Alex, take things quietly - be good to yourself.

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

In the office again today and off to a meeting this afternoon so am all suited and booted Dominik is OK this morning, proudly sporting his bumped head and milking all the sympathy from his little chums and teachers He did fall out of bed in the night but again, was OK . . . siwwy baby!

Tonight Ken and I are off to see his teenage daugther perform at her 6th form college. She's being rather brave and doing the V@gin@ Monologues with a group of friends. She's doing A Level Drama so I'm expecting it to be quite good. They went to see Jerry Hall perform it up in town a while back and met her, Kate said she was a bit 'snooty'.

Right, off to do a bit more copywriting in anticipation of this avvies meeting - see you all later

Afternoon all
I'm just up . It was Ceilidh's birthday yeasterday, the night before it was midnight before she finally fell asleep..Then yesterday she was up at 6.30. I think it was the best birthday she's had to date. We had family and a couple of her friends round but her "big" party is on Sunday. I never stopped all day. Did too much and payed the price. Got up earlier but went back to bed
Now it's a round of chores before she gets back from school.
The sun is out, it's been raining but very clamy. I'm off to catch up on here.

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

Just met my new neighbour - or the female half of the couple, with her mum & dad. She's younger than I'd anticipated - 30 tops - but excedingly nice. From Yorkshire. Her dad was a staffie breeder/judge, so guess how we got along?! They're moving in properly tomorrow and possibly the next day. Luckily his work has provided a cottage, so they're able to move in at their leisure! They have a 7m.o. cocker (Chester!) and a timid female rescue cat.
Sounds like they'll be just fine - hope they're thinking the same about us
