Inspired by Borderdawn (non cat)

Ok, ok so it's not as beautiful as a ladybird but I just had to have a go at a close up shot. My willing subject? A fly

My camera lens won't allow me to get any closer as it were, must look into getting a different lens. Any suggestions of which lens for this type of shot Dawn?

Thats a bloody good photo is that Fran! Well done. I use the "Macro" facility, and the lens will allow me to get closer, the standard lenses are not that good, but that one you have took is excellent. The one that comes with the camera is actually a very good one, although I dont use it because my main lens covers that range and a bit more.
Dawn.

Dawn.
This is the lens that came with the camera but I do have to use the auto mode at present as I just haven't got the hang of all the settings etc yet. Must do some reading up about photography me thinks!
