Thanks for all you lovely comments - yes Chloe is a little camera shy so tend not to bother her too much. I havent got a new camera - just my Nikon Coolpix 5600 I have had for a year or so - but did find a new button on it that is meant to be used for close ups!!!!

I am so not technical minded

I got the Nikon Coolpix L 2 and am very happy with it...must read the manual one of these days ! Who knows, maybe I can do closeups too! (When all else fails, read the manual)....
