Re: sunshine tuesday

Early morning folks. Up at about 7am. OH suffering terrible cramp in his legs very early on. Because of his kidney condition he is on a no salt diet which results in cramp. This is exacerbated by the condition of the veins in his legs as the result of a bomb blast while serving in the army. Anyway, had breakfast now, dogs out for their 1st walk then back to bed.

What awful news about Peaches Geldof, such a young and lovely girl. Feel for her family, especially her children. It puts any problems I thought I had into perspective.

I hope your OH is ok FM cramp in the night is horrible.
It was such a shame to hear about peaches gelded so young.

Re: sunshine tuesday

Amazing! Shelley and Fecto's Mum posted within a second of each other!!!

Nice day today, blue sky and a bit windy. Finally got the bed stripped and remade, much to Pip's relief; Kizzy has gone out in a huff! One load out on the line already and another in the machine. What would be do without the washing machine? I remember my mother had a twin tub, but I don't actually remember her hand washing bedding, perhaps she sent it to the laundry, I would have been too young to know.

I'm looking forward to beach photos, Shelley. Hope you get on with your article OK.

FM - sorry to hear about your OH's cramps. I understand about the salt, is there nothing else that could help - I'm thinking about those isotonic drinks that athletes use.

Have a good day folks.

Re: sunshine tuesday

Washer going as I type. Hope it stays dry. I need to start on the north face of the ironing today too, before it takes over. Want the weather to be warm and dry now, fed up with wet.

Thinking of getting OH tonic water for the quinine, he's on that much medication he doesn't really want to take quinine tablets. Luckily it only happens once or twice a week. A friend suggested putting corks in the bed! You never know, it might work.

My Mum had a twin tub too, before that it was a large thing that you had to heat the water in first with an agitator and a mangle on top. An automatic washer is an absolute Godsend, love them.
