topsey

On Tuesday 17th November I had to say goodbye to my childhood friend Topsey.
I had Topsey from when i was 5/6years old, we had rescued her from neighbours down the road who were neglecting her.
She was my first pet and she was the greatest, I remember every time i cried topsey would jump up to me and cuddle me, she hated to see anyone cry.
Topsey was always the top cat she even showed the dogs she was in charge.
Sadly Topsey gradually got artritis in her back and over the years she struggled to get around.
and one day we noticed she could not walk on her back legs and was dragging them around with her.
So we took her to the vet where he said their wasnt much he could do, as it was a blood clot in her back
me and my dad had to make the hard decision of putting her out of her misery so we agreed it was for the best.
I was in tears, and have been for weeeks, But one nite when i was about to fall asleep i rememberd all the good times we had together and how much she hated seeing me upset.
I know now she is at rest and free from all pain, she is a young cat once again..

Love you Topsey
You may have left us all, but u will never leave our hearts
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Re: topsey

I am so very sorry, Suzanne..

Topsey was a very special friend to you and you gave her your most precious gift of all, you released her from her pain and suffering.

She is safe now and has left you a wealth of happy memories of your time together.
When your hurt gradually starts to ease, you will remember all the good times you had with your lovely girl.
Take care ((((hugs))))x

Sleep tight Topsey ......xx

Oh Suzanne - Topsey was a darling. You had a strong bond and must miss her very much. That was a lovely tribute and together with the pictures, made my eyes mist up a bit. Hugs.

Oh Suzanne, what a lovely tribute to your dear Topsey. It's so hard to say goodbye, but you did give her the last gift of peace and freedom from pain, and she was so much loved, RIP, little one, run free at the Bridge.
