Happy Birthday to The London Underground

Evidently, the Underground is 150 years old today!

Here is a link with tempting facts:

I haven't been to London for many years now, but always used to like to travel on the Underground - so much easier than buses. If you knew whether you wanted to go N,S,E or W I found I couldn't get lost!

Re: Happy Birthday to The London Underground

I loved, and still do love the tube. Having been brought up in the London suburbs we used the underground a lot. I also travelled to art school on it daily and later commuted to work.

When at college we indulged in the legendary Circle Line parties . . . Happy days.

Like Yola I love the London Underground and as I was born and bred in London I used it a lot, for a few years to commute to work every day. It has a magic and many happy memories of childhood.
