A New Park Bench

In Sutton park where I often walk the Sal and Tess (my Staffies) there is a new park bench - and just in one of my favourite spots, really it is, I used to walk up there with Gypsy (my previous Staffie) and now walk up there with the girls, and the plaque on the bench says "In memory of Charles
beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and dog walker, who first paused in this place in 1928 with his dog Butch, then Rex, Meg, Bob, Champ, Hoppy, and Prince. We know he's been reunited with them all to continue their walks. Please take a seat and enjoy the view."

I tell you I sat there with tears in my eyes I will contact the park warden and ask him to tell the family "Thank you."

I think I will start to read the plaques on the benches, its a lovely idea really it is.

Yes I thought it was nice too DM - naming his dogs you can almost see the history of the man and follow the steps through time with his dogs names, Butch, Rex, Champ etc I wonder if over the years I've seen him and said "Hello" I do hope so, but I will say "Hello Charles" now every time I sit on the bench.
