It's unattractive to us but it really is just nature Andrew. You might have been kinder just letting Jet do what comes naturally in the first instance, rather than drag it out?. |

Yeah, I suppose your right. As it was her first catch/kill I just didnt know what to do. I will leave her alone in future. I have seen the way cats play with their prey before that final act and find that hard to watch. |

I'm afraid that it is just one of those things cat owners have to expect and understand if they allow their cats outdoors. It is a natural cat instinct to hunt... |

Rosie regularly brings me home mice - it is her way of contributing. If she brings them in alive I usually manage to throw a towel over them and repatriate them to a spot in the garden (when she is not looking). |

She's just doing what Nature designed her to do...its instinctive. And cats do usually leave their prey for their people...cat I grew up witth was a great hunter and some mornings my Mom would find as many as five mice lined up on the steps! |

With my cats I usually try and rescue any mice etc that are obviously still alive. I will bring my cats in and keep them in, however if they have killed it I will just let them eat/play with them, otherwise two minutes later they will have another. |
