Sunny and too hot.

Good morning everyone,
Sunday early evening here and it has been hot all day. Going to be even hotter tomorrow at 28 degrees, which I'm not looking forward to at all.Still, I've told myself NOT to moan .Oh when will this stupid air con part arrive ?

I actually felt well enough today to wash my sheets and i was so thrilled to be able to do it. BP still must be high because I can hear my heart beating in my ears still, but will wait until the end of the week and then get it checked again. Never had blood pressure in my life before. At least my heart has settled down, so I'm just going to have a slow ,peaceful week this week and see how things pan out.

My cousin rang last night to tell me that she had won $312.00 at the casino and she had only gambled $20.00, so she certainly made on the evening. I was pleased for her. She has been very good to me over the last 4 weeks and her golden retriever, Cinder isn't well again with her tummy troubles. This is despite the special vet food that she has to feed the dog.Personally i think that the dog would be better on a totally raw diet, as all my mastiffs in the past have been fed, but it's not my place to say anything, and I really can't see my cousin dealing with raw green tripe on a daily basis.

KAZZ, I bet you got your washing nice and dry in all that breeze. Those spare ribs sound absolutely delicious. I copied down the marinade recipe and plan to try them when i feel better.

SHELLEY, glad you and the dogs had a good walk through the nature reserve. Are the swans still around ? It's a special feeling when the little wild birds are trusting enough to eat out of your hand. i agree, it is hard to plan menus and we, too, tend to eat the same things regularly. At least we know we like them. I'll be thinking of you today, Shelley, on your special day at church. How exciting for you.

PAMELA and YOLA, hope everything is going well for you both and you had a great Saturday.

Well I'm off now to watch Prodical Son on TV. I think the guy in it is really gorgeous. Ah well, we can all dream ,can't we ?

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Re: Sunny and too hot.

Evening Dinky and morning everyone else.
Church for me today to take communion, then a dog walk.
I have received 2 lovely cards for mothers day and my youngest is treating us to takeaway.
I have an antique doll to dress, had her for years and never removed the original clothing.
All her underwear items are exact replicas of real clothing.
I bleached them and ran the iron over so all ready to go back on, approx 4 layers.
The doll dates from around 1880.

Dinky, I'm pleased you are feeling better and hope your blood pressure improves.
Mines high so I'm on tablets now.
I'm also on amytriptyline but did have a few episodes were it was a bit high years before I took it.
Your cousin did well.
Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Re: Sunny and too hot.

Well my day is sitting down and not doing a lot roast beef for dinner and walking the dog - reading while listening to the radio gardening show this afternoon its becoming a routine and very enjoyable, starting to enjoy the radio a lot more. Was supposed to be at the covid centre this weekend but they had enough people so have two shifts in the week instead. Not going litter picking bar when out with Gert too windy to be chasing rubbish LOL

Have a good day all

Re: Sunny and too hot.

evening everyone,

My day has been a hard day with it being the first mothers day without my mum. Had a busy morning walking the dogs then doing an early food shop as i was at my dads for dinner just him, my sister and myself and it was nice. I went to the crematorium and laid a rose beside the tree that i like to think mums ashes are beside as they were scattered in that area although we werent there when they were scattered, that was her wishes. I also did a doorstep visit to my bet friends whom i havent seen since a couple of days before my mums funeral although we message and have video called. Was great to see her and the visit ended up nearly an hour at her front door just chatting and putting the world to rights!!

Well done to your cousin dinky!! Lucky girl!! I am so glad you are feeling strong enough to be able to put washings on, great steps in the road to recovery

Shelley, sounds like you have been spoiled today!! It would be great to se photos of your dolls if it was easier to post photos on here!!

Kazz, Your book sounds interesting. I do hope you enjoyed your roast beef

Take care everyone
