name for very lovable cat ??Hi! We are getting a new male cat (found as a stray) who is very affectionate and wants to cuddle all the time - a lap cat  Now I would like to name him with an appropriate name, that is a name with a meaining affectionate, loving, sweet....you get my drift... I don't want to call him Cuddles, cause it would sound weird from where I come... Any ideas? Else I might call him Tigi (he looks like your average tabby) was also thinking about Miki but Miki means energetic which he doesn't seem to be so this name wouldn't fit...Also I would really rather name him with some "lap-cat" name. Thanks

Could we possibly see a picture? Just while I can see why you'd want a name which reflects his character, I can't imagine trying to name a cat without seeing them as well... Sorry! |

THX for all the suggestions I can't put up a pic of him as of yet because I don't have any...I took him straight to the vet where today he will be tested for FIV and Felv and if everything is OK he will be mine - but I think he is OK, cause he was probably just dumped cause he is much to friendly for a stray...But he really doesn't look anyting special (I mean he is pretty but not jaw droping, but I will take him because of his character which is far more important to me than what color he is) - just your average brown striped (tabby) cat - but he looks at you in such a way that it melts your heart  I think I like Dolce the most so far. But also tigger tho this name does not really imply cuddliness Calin is one kind of bird in our language so wouldn't be Ok for a cat - tho I really like the meaning. Where did you find this name - are there any more such databases or something? Milo means soap so not Ok either because of our language I added his photo |
