Re: Christmas gifts

I'm just as mean. No Birthday presents either, not even an extra nice bowl of catfood.

He gets spoiled equally much every day of the year. ^^

Re: Christmas gifts

Don't think cats know it's Christmas or their birthday ...... but I do like to give them something that they enjoy unwrapping (or tearing apart) so catnip is a sure success!

Have to think about Monty's present too this year.

How about a classy little Jagermeister light... stocking filler perhaps?

The birds have already 'planted' the cats Chrissy presi it seems, and 'presented' it to them early..hemp seeds have sprouted under the bird feeder into 3 foot tall plants! and my 2 are quite interested in sniffing the leaves!

Hemp? Hemp, as in marijuana? Oh my !!!!

"Hemp is not legal to grow in the U.S. under Federal law because of its relation to marijuana, and any imported hemp products must meet a zero tolerance level. It is considered a controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act (P.L. 91-513; 21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.)"

Re: Christmas gifts

There are different types of hemp Eileen ....... the sort of seed that is in bird seed I believe is the type that used to be grown for rope making.

Yes, I know that, but ALL forms of hemp are 100% illegal here! So, do your birds get high??

No birds lolling around like lazy bums here yet Eileen!

The plants smell really nettly and gorgeous, but it's not a strain that you could get high on.. I'm told! I chopped up a few leaves to flavour a casserole and it had no effect on me whatsover, but I did sleep well that night...so don't know if it was the hemp or not??!

My cockatiel used to always pick out the hemp seeds 1st, the birds like them, but it doesn't seem to affect them as far as I can tell. It's the pollen that's most potent.

Re: Christmas gifts

You can by hemp skin products in the body shop in the UK (or you could - I have had it for a while). Thanks for all of your suggestions, lots to thinks about. I admit I'm intrigued by the jungmeister thingy..what is that?!
