They are stunning, Moli! The flowers look so delicate and fragile, and the color on that red one is spectacular!

The pale pink flower is stunning and the red one is gorgeous.

I bought a flowering cactus once but when the flower died back, it never produced another one!

I like them both, but the pink flower is a wonder! You've got the green fingers Moli.

Re: Flowering Cacti...

Do they like to be pot-bound? That looks like a really small crowded container that the red one is in.

Its been in that pot 20 years or more, never been repotted, never been fed, been frozen when the greenhouse glass was smashed during a storm, covered in cobwebs and get watered now and then...........They like the difference between night and day, warm days, cold nights......,
That one always flowers, the pale pink one I only got a few months ago, and the flower only lasted a week...

Re: Flowering Cacti...

Lovely! I have a cactus my Aunt gave me years ago; it too is left outside unless it's spectacularly cold and it just keeps on going strong. It's never flowered though so I'm full of admiration for your plants, especially that amazing red one!!
