The longest Ive ever done 17 and a half hours have done that a few times if I have been on an afternoon shift and someone has called in sick for the night,thats a killer but once you get passe 2am its not to bad.

Yes, I have done similar shifts myself in the past. When I worked in the nursing homes, as the only registered nurse on a shift, if the registered nurse didn't turn in for the next shift to take me off (frequent occurance ) I obviously coudn't leave until they found another registered nurse to take over from me Glad I'm out of all that now, I like my bed too much
