Crufts/NEC advice

What is the best 'level' of clothing to wear to the NEC........all those people/all those dogs? Phew! I've got to travel on the train, so have to wear something 'outdoorsy', but don't want to roast and have to carry a ton of outdoor clothes around the show.
Anyone with experience got words of wisdom?

Re: Crufts/NEC advice

Hi DM You may get "more" answers from the dogweb site but I would say layers is the best bet for clothing and most important comfy shoes/trainers and I always go for jeans/combats (comething similar) tshirt, then fleece/similar and a light jacket prehaps waterproof walking jacket or something similar. Something not heavy to carry or to wear.No advice other than that, Soz. sure Dawn etc can give out better adice. Oh I don't take a handbag either I keep money inside my jacket inside pocket, And take a rucksak/shoulder bag for sarnies, place for my jacket etc.

Sure I have been no help. Soz.

Karen

No that's fine Kazz - sounds about what I was thinking.
No stilletos then?
I'd already sorted the footwear and was going to take it from there really - trousers/jeans and as few layers as seems sensible.
Thanks!

Re: Crufts/NEC advice

Okay you've got me thinking now DM - which is hard to do. But Iam going to wear walking trainers (with steel toecaps) they have non slip soles great things. Jeans, tshirt and a jacket sort of padded thing (brought from Crufts last year for a £5 brilliant bargain) which is light enough to wear all day and has inside pockets (brilliant in my mind) but warm enough to get me from home to train and train to home. Crufts is too crowded to get cold.

See you there.

Yes, definitely layers. It is very hot inside and very crowded, but you may have quite a long walk from the car park, unless you get the shuttle bus, so you need to have something warm. Loads of walking so flat & comfortable shoes is a must! Enjoy!
