stupid question but i need to knowwhat does euthanased mean i cant find what it means on the web

put to sleep  I think its more an american term, although we use the term euthanasia e.g. The Voluntary Euthanasia Society, which campaigns for people to be allowed to die. Hope that definition/explanation doesn't stir up anything awful |

Yeah - I have some issues with the RSPCA and their euthanasia policies. Hence my involvement with Cats Protection - they will never destroy a healthy animal and try to rehome FIV cases in single-cat households. |

I foster for cat protection to  anyways the rspca have done a few things that have made me question them  just pushed it over now for me |

 He was a beauty too.......and looked like he was somebody's much loved pet, not a stray  |

even if he didnt have a owner it was still no right your right tho DM dont look like a stray to me looks like he would have made a wonderful pet |

My local RSPCA centre does try to rehome cats with FIV, so I know not all of the cats at the RSPCA centres are PTS because of this. |

i have aslo heard of a lot of things about the RSPCA that I DONT like. i think they do have some issues, but they do also do a lot of good for neglected animals |

I have heard lots of iffy things about the RSPCA, and I know it isn't all branches. We are supposed to be getting an RSPCA shelter soon, and I can't say I am all that thrilled, I just hope we have decent people that staff it. Some cat charities (Cat ACtion Trust in particular) are no longer testing every cat and asking why test at all - Cat ACtion Trust state that they don't use hard earned funds on it, nor would they pts or restrict a cat that did test positive - I do have the full article if anyone would like to read it. |
