Help please!!

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum and would really appreciate some help please.
I have three cats all rescued in one way or another, up to six months ago we just had 2 (down from 5 at one point) and we live very close to a beach where a tiny 4 week old kitten was found and she ended up with us which wasn't a problem- or so we thought! She was probably feral and only 4 weeks old and had just got lost from her mother we presume. One of our other cats- Mr Chips was himself feral and after 6 patient months feeding him and reassuring him he became part of our family 7 years ago. He was the most gorgeous gentle cat but very untrusting of humans other than myself and my husband. he is getting much better and can now socialise with other people who visit. The problem is the kitten- Zeusie. From when we brought her in to the house Mr Chips was fine with her and let her snuggle up etc. After about 2 weeks she then started 'play fighting' with him which he wasn't happy with and now the actual fights are horrid to watch. She I think is still 'playing' but he hates it and its getting worse. If they are in the same room together she just pounces on him constantly and they actually fight! he has scars all over his belly from the kittens claws and now the minute she comes in to the room he starts the growling and loud crying and its heartbreaking as he has gone from a very loving cat to one thats on edge and nervous again. I have tried everything- water pistol on the kitten to warn her off, separating them for a while, over fussing Mr Chips etc and nothing is working. I am terrified Mr Chips will run off its so bad. On the vets advice we kept her inside for 6 months which was very difficult as he said because she was feral it was necessary, we thought as others did, that once she was let outside she would run her energies off but shes still tormenting him. I am sorry to go on but I am desperate for help to resolve this. many thanks
