Yola, are there any plants that you actually dislike? I was chatting about this to a buddy a while back, and we came up with four that we cant stand...alliums, liriope, flowering cabbage/kale (ugh), and purple coneflowers!! |

Eileen - I have to admit to not liking tulips very much. 1 - I don't like the texture of the petal, far too feather-like  2 - In my experience they don't work well as either cut flowers or garden flowers; far to quick to fall over and go over.I don't much like fushcias either. Far too frilly and fussy for my liking. I far prefer bolder, larger flowers that make a statement rather than twee blooms. I do love the flowering/ornamental cabbage you speak of, infact I was thinking of getting some for this winter!! Which particular allium do you not like? I've just done a search on them and there are so many varieties that look totally different. By Liriope do you mean Narcissus? If so, I do like that very much as I'm a huge fan of the daffodil and the narcissus is similar in appearance. I think we'd do well as neighbours - coz you could have all the flowers I didn't like and vice versa!!!  |

I think I'd prefer your garden Yola - except the cabbage. I think they are an abomination! Good thing we're all different eh? Would be a shame if all gardens were the same. |
