Thursday daily.

Morning all.

A bit over cast here and all in all for over a week now been relentless here in the way of stress, worry here.

Dad went into hosital week ago Sunday stayed till Wednesday they made a guarded diagnosis of cellulitis he was also unable to put weight on his left (affected leg) he came out Wed as I say and although able to walk it was with a stick. He had antibiotics and he looked better. Thursday all good. Friday Mom had an angina attack late afternoon, taken by ambulance to hospital where Sat night she had a stroke..........she has been in there a week tomorrow. Monday Dad's leg he said was worse hurting Doc came in and sent him to hospital, he is still there a a guid ehe wear a size 9 shoe normaly but cannot get his left foot into anything less than a size 13 slipper..... his leg is swollen and has blisters on it. He is seeing a dermatologist today, he can now walk but still with stick but it is not cellulitis and his overall results blood heart liver etc are very very good. But hope he will be out tomorrow, he did have an infection in his leg but would not go to the Doc's preferring to clean with TCP himself. May have to make him wear shorts in future to check him out.

Mom is okay and under observation she is a fair bit confused but that is improving daily.....she is able to talk but using words in the wrong place, it kinda makes sese but you have to think about what she is asking.

Still at work breaking up this weekend. for 2 weeks. So all go here. Hope you are all good.

Mods - I thought I wasn't going crazy - Velvet posted Sunny Thursday but in Cat related Chat and I had treated it as a daily thread, which I believe was Velvet's intention. Can someone amalgamate please?

Re: Thursday daily.

afternoon all.
Sorry to hear about your parents, Karen. I hope your Dad gets out tomorrow as planned and that your Mum continues to improve. I bet you will be glad when your off work.
Been to work this morning. Just done a bit of training with Dogs, basic positions with Kwame and stays. Did a few send aways with Malaika and i've taught her to stick em up when i point an imaginary gun at her. Not very pc i know but quite amusing.
Waiting to hear how my Dad has got on, he's in hospital having an injection in his groin under a GA to try and help his hip pain.

Sorry to hear about your parents Kazz, I do hope they continue to improve.
I have had a very blustery day at Orford Castle on the Suffolk coast. The first time I went there I was very puzzled by the benches on the roof as they were chained to the railings. I assumed this was an anti vandalism device but couldn't see how even the most determined vandal could have carried them anywhere to be able to throw them off. Apparently it gets so windy up there that if they aren't chained to something they 'hop' around the roof!

Re: Thursday daily.

Hi, all!. Kazz, very distressing news about your parents; I do hope they will both improve and be back home soon. And also your Dad's hip pain, Shelley. It's so hard seeing them grow older, feebler and in increasingly worsening health .... I lost my parents when I was 25 and 35 respectively, so did not have to go thru that ... I do feel for you.

Sunny and still much warmer than normal, 30 C (86 F) at about 10:30 this morning. The Summer haters are moaning and groaning.... No news, just busy book boxing and bagging old office clothes and stuff I won't probably ever wear again. Boring, but necessary.

Take care of yourselves, all ......

Re: Thursday daily.

So sorry to read about your parents health worries Karen. So stressful for you,to be visiting them both. Glad to know that your mum is improving daily, the word mix up is a slight but annoying symptom but seems to be getting better. Ceri had his stroke 18 months ago and all that is gone now, but in the beginning it was frustrating take care ((hugs)) and love to your dad too.

Sunny day here on & off, only food shopping today and some housework- bored!

My Dad's had his procedure done and is back home ok. They have told him it could be 5 days before he feels any improvement. Just glad it's done
