Poor Imogen!

Came home for my lunch an hour ago, without the usual kitten welcoming committee, eventually found Imogen on the armchair looking very sorry for herself. Checked her over and her right fore leg is twice the size of the other
Quickly rushed her downstairs and one of the vets had a look. She can feel a 'crunching' over the carpus (wrist) joint and her poor leg is so sore.
She's eaten this morning so we're going to x-ray her this afternoon and check for fractures. I'm just grabbing some lunch with her upstairs before we go down
Hope it's all ok, my poor baby! It doesn't make it any easier that I've seen lots of cats with these type of injuries.

Re: Poor Imogen!

Thank you everyone. Home now with a very sleepy Imogen. Thankfully no fractures on the x-rays but lots of soft tissue swelling. She can be a bit crazy when chasing flies-leaping on and off furniture and I think she may have just strained/sprained it. She'll be on strict rest and anti-inflammatories for 5 days then we'll reassess it, it's still very swollen at the moment but she's less painful after a jab.
