New kitten bottom bleeding

Hi guys

At my friends house she has a new kitten. He came home yesterday and is 10 weeks old. Just went for first pooh since she got him and his back passage was bleeding after passing his pooh. Should he be going to a vets?

That doesn't sound right, does it? Has the kitten been wormed do you know? I'd phone the vet - your friend doesn't want to take chances with a young animal.

Re: New kitten bottom bleeding

Hey guys she went straight to the vets and the vet was not very nice to her so didn't help my case that its important to go to the vets. Apparently the vet aggressively asked her 'Why an earth have you brought a cat' her answer was simply that her daughter had wanted one for some time and now she had her own house it made sense. The women said it was irresponsible that she should buy a kitten without much knowledge of cats where she got that information God knows.

Anyway turns out kitten has a slight stomach bug and the vet has supplied some soft food. I think he didnt come from the best breeder. He has no fleas or worms though which is good. He should get his vaccs once stomach bug clears!

He is gorgeous all black moggie called Archie.
