Been a weird few weeks

a couple of weeks ago we got a call a friend of ours had been killed in a bike crash. he was doing the lands end to john-o-groats run. always wanted to do the ride. and when he did it killed him. bad weather freak accident.
well we gave him a good send off. lots of bikers escorted him on his final ride.
then 2 weeks ago i got a phone call. that *jim* had died, well the only jim i knew was my ex, he had treated me really badly. so to be honest i wasnt sad about it. but then i said to the person who had called me. that id better go n see my daughter and explain that her dad was dead.
well an hour later i get another phone call, ITS NOT MY EX WHO WAS GONE, so ive then had to explain to my daughter that her dad wasnt dead, she had been treated badly by him and was totally confused by then (so was i)
anyway it turns out that the jim who died was a really old friend of mine. i hadnt seen him since i was 17/18.
so ive got his funeral to go to tomorrow afternoon.
so my heads been all over the place. so im hoping that life will settle down again soon. im at the doctors monday, been getting very tired lately. and im sure that where ive been naughty and eating the wrong stuff. so im going to ask for a colestrol blood test.
so been a weird few weeks.

Cathy - sorry it's been such turmoil for you. When these kind of things happen we kind or run on adrenalin and forget the basics of eating, sleeping etc.

You need to stop, think and take control because the last thing you want is for all this to affect your health. I hope you manage to come to terms with so many losses in your life - it's truly horrible, especially when so sudden

So sorry to hear that you have had such a terrible couple of weeks , like Yola says you need to make sure that you don`t neglect your own health which can easily be done when so much is going on around you.
Hope that things settle down around you soon and that everything is OK at the doctors, take care X.

Take care Cathy, look after your health. Sorry to hear about your recent troubles, how awful to think it was the *jim* that was bad to you, then realise it wasn't. Hugs to you and your daughter for the traumas you've had to go thru. x

Hope you'll soon be feeling more like yourself Cathy - it's horrible when you feel in the middle of things unable to control what's happening

So sorry to hear about your weird few weeks BM - I had been wondering as you'd not posted for a while. Do take extra care of yourself.

Re: Been a weird few weeks

i must admit i have never heard of so many ppl who was disapointed that it wasnt my ex who had died. yep hes that nice (NOT)
im sitting here charlies gone out for a blast on the bike. then later on ill meet him in the pub and we will raise a glass to the nice man who died. poor man was in so much pain he ended it himself. how someone can feel that low. so sad. but hes out of pain now and he can watch us all.
the boys are well. still causing me problems with their tricks
we had a rape about 5 mins from where i lived. so no woman was out unless we had a dog or a male with us. but he was caught luckily enough. just hope they can get it to court. and he gets put away for a very long time.
i personally would cut off his *bits* with a blunt rusty knife.
