Re: Daily Shred Thread / Tuesday.....

It's been a lovely sunny day, but rain forecast for tonight.
Have been on the allotment, tidying up and collecting some veg. Have picked pounds of spinach so I think I'll be cooking Spanokopitta tomorrow - or my version of the Greek dish - just a puff pastry pie with spinach and feta and a few secret additional flavourings. Still have plenty of tomatoes so a tomato salad with it and I'll maybe be able to imagine myself on a Greek beach.............but prob not
Have also dug some (f)artichokes. Anyone got any brilliant remedies for preventing that side effect? Asafoetida seems to work and fennel or cumin seed - just cook them in with the 'chokes.
Anyone would think I enjoy cooking...............but it's mostly the eating bit I really like!

It's raining now nad hubby;s gone to college. Not sure what time he'll be home. He's normally home about 10:30-11:00 depending on whether he natter's to his tutor's or not afterwards. He is always swapping car software with them

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Tuesday.....

It is quiet Fran....I expect Smudgley is busy as she seems to have a very hectic life.
Haven't seen Sam for some time, hope she comes back on sometime as it was always interesting hearing about all her cats....

Yes and Sam contributed so much knowledge and experience to the board. I miss her I wonder how she got on with her dog she was putting in to whelp?
