Re: Joy A Little Poorly

Here's hoping for two days of improvement and a cat back to normal at the end!

Re: Joy A Little Poorly

Still no real improvement with Joy. She spent 10-15 mins yesterday and this morning, wandering from 1 litter to the other trying to pee, poor girl. She has managed a minute one a couple of times but nothing to "shout" about really. She is still eating and drinking and playing about being chased by Beau. but connot seem to be able to go for a pee properly. There are 2 days left of the Antibiotics , so I am going to leave her over the weekend and see what Monday brings!! I have touched around her tummy and besides purring away she never whinces as if there is pain. Poor girl must feel stressed, I know I do!!

Re: Joy A Little Poorly

Sorry to hear that Joy is still having problems. I wonder whether a phone call to the vet before the w/end would be in order?

Re: Joy A Little Poorly

If Joy is drinking a lot but it's not coming out i think i'd be inclined to take her back to the vets. Something doesn't sound right.I would have thought the ab's would have helped by now.I wonder if something is restricting the flow.

Re: Joy A Little Poorly

Have rang the Vets this morning and taking Joy there at 10.10am so let them have another look.
Got up at 5.30am this morning to Joy being sick, mainly hairball, which she has NEVER done before ,cleaned it up. only seconds later to be followed by Beau being ill!! Lovely morning!!! Good job I love them both so much!!
Will let everyone know what the Vet says later!!

Good luck JMP - hope that the vet can prescribe something to make them (and you) feel better. Fingers crossed.

Re: Joy A Little Poorly

The Vet still cann't find anything really wrong with Joy. Temp and Heartbeat both ok. So he is going to sedate her and take a Urine sample direct from the Bladder and a couple of blood samples. Hopefully they should be back by Saturday. She is being sedated because of the "stress".

I'm sure that will give the vet a much better idea of what's going on - poor Joy, do hope she's home soon.

Re: Joy A Little Poorly

The funny thing is, that "outwardly" it doesn't seem to be bothering her too much. The only showing sign is that she is much more "love" demanding and always wants to be stroked etc. But she is still eating, drinking and play running/fighting with Beau.!!
