Must have been, but very very funny. First thing I asked was "are all the dogs ok?"

Really really scary! Danger of hypothermia in this weather; honestly, Elaine, things do happen to you and your sister..... Thank goodness you have a sense of humor.

Re: Mini Tsunami and my sisters sandy knickers

PMSL - I am never going a walk with you!!

I remember about 20 odd years ago we were visiting my sister who lived in Aberdeen at that time. We took the dog with us and decided to go for a walk on the beach.

No idea which part but there were huge 'breakers and pipes' running up from the water to the beach.

The dog was standing on her back legs looking over one and a massive wave came from nowhere and covered her, me and OH. She was very briefly swept away. Being a big dog she got her footing and was fine I always shuddered at the thought of a smaller dogs fate.

We were a bit more respectful of the lovely Aberdeen beaches and their massive waves after that.

I'm pleased you are all ok. - but I'm still never walking with you

Are these large waves a usual thing along your coastline Elaine? Just thought they might be from CM's post.
