He's a bit of a non-starter for me (too child-like), I would have much preferred James Nesbitt but I guess it all depends on where the writers/producers see the Dr. character going and whether Matt will be able to take him there.

After all, they have a phenomenal success on their hands so they are not going to risk casting someone who will damage their 'brand'.

I find DT a bit flippant, I far preferred the darker Chris Eccleston.

I would have prefered someone older maybe..........but there again I suspect the producers have a plan, and they have chosen well so far.
