Daily thread ~ Saturday

Good morning everyone!

Sun and cloud here today with a promise of rain for later!

I'm hoping to do my hanging baskets today and maybe some of the pots. Have to pop out to B & Q later to get some chippings and perhaps, more plants.

Nothing much planned for the weekend, I hope yours will be more exciting!

Hope you all have a great day!

Have a good afternoon everyone.

Re: Daily thread ~ Saturday

Hi everyone! Just popped out to the local farm shop for supplies for the long weekend. Got a lovely piece of locally produced beef that's been grazed on the saltmarsh. Looks glorious - so that's our Sunday roast tomorrow. OH has done a couple of little jobs and I'm pottering today.

Unfortunately, what with the building works last year, my being poorly for 2 weeks at the wrong time of the season and last year's tomatoes being a complete disaster, I sort of lost interest in the chaos in the greenhouse and short of getting rid of all the nasty stuff, I just closed everything up and didn't go near for a long time. Nothing much to lose, fortunately - but cleared out a lot of dead stuff yesterday. The garage, which we used to store a lot of bits and bobs is now MIL's bedroom and en-suite, and although we did buy a biggish shed for most of the gardening stuff, I think I must sacrifice half of the greenhouse in order to store the overflow! However need to take everything out first and spring clean the greenhouse ..........

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever you're doing and enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday.

Will I see you all at the quiz tonight?????

Re: Daily thread ~ Saturday

Afternoon! Sunny and unseasonably warm again today, with rain in the early evening predicted. Did my Saturday library run; only thing on the agenda this afternoon is planting 20 crocosmia bulbs...I love their fiery color! Put in three Stella d'Oro daylilies yesterday and put the small geraniums in larger pots.

Hope all have lovely weather and get all your chores done in time for a little relaxation and "me" time!

Hope to see you at the quiz tonight....
