Good morning! Dull here too but mild. Practice assessment and inspection today, I predict much stress and 'flapping'!
Off to work in a few minutes-going to go in early to see how my little collie girl is doing.
Have a good day all! X

Re: Daily Thread / St George's Day

In the office getting on with bits and pieces. I have a prospective client calling me in a bit which is going to be fun as this bug is turning into a cold and all I'm doing is sniffing and coughing and my voice has gone all gravely

Weather is foul - rain and quite chilly to.

Off at 3pm with Sebastian to see the specialist, have several issues to raise with him over and above the dairy intollerance.

Afternoon all! It's been lovely here after a bit of a dodgy start to the day, but seems to be clouding over a bit now.

Washing and a bit of tidying up and soup making later on.

Don't forget the QUIZ tonight peeps!!!

Re: Daily Thread / St George's Day

Hi all! Early fog has burned off and it's a lovely day, 18 degrees and cloudless skies. The usual market run, and daily weeding has been added to the routine as they are coming up like ......weeds! since the rains. And most of the Summer bulbs are coming up now; two new lilies popped up since yesterday...I love this time of year!

Yola: sorry you're still feeling poorly; hope all goes well with Sebi's visit ....

See you at the quiz tonight! Enjoy the day...

Re: Daily Thread / St George's Day

Got in from work and found the house full of gas!! Hubby was out so goodness knows how long the fumes had been building up.

I opened doors and windows and fortunately discovered that the gas was from the hob, one of the knobs was on but no flames! What a relief, at least it was easily sorted and wasn't a gas "leak" as such.

When he eventually came in (B&Q, roofing felt, damaged shed, another story) he wondered why the back door was standing open! Apparently, he'd had an omelette for lunch then about 2 hours later had gone out, not noticing the smell at all! "Must have left it on" he said, what an obvious thing to say!

The gas must have been leaking for at least 4 hours, fortunately the cats seem fine. OH's poor sense of smell is partly due to polyps, perhaps he really ought to get them seen too!

That must have been scary to come home to MrsH .... I'm glad the cats were alright and it wasn't a leaky gas pipe as such.

Things could have been a lot worse if your Hubby had had an after lunch nap instead of a visit to B & Q....

Yes, I'm glad there's no real damage but honestly, sometimes you can't trust them out of your sight! And he's done no housework today either!
