Re: Daily Thread - Monday

Mags, Yola & Elaine
Allotment - well, better than last year (I think the monsoon started a little later), at least I cropped tomatoes this year, my peppers (polytunnel) were, and still are, best ever, runners are still going on after a very late start. But it has been incredibly wet and I haven't spent as much time there as I'd wish
Yola - mmm, wonder what made you think of me? Maybe you picked up some of my 'I might just pop in and see what Catsey's doing' thoughts? I'll catch up with news of your family - unfurred and furred - over the next little while.
Elaine - we're going to Crete, 9 October. Booked only a few weeks ago when we really were wondering if it would ever stop raining or if we would ever see the sun again. So, it's a last minute week on a beach or by a pool. We're going hand luggage only, so I am thinking of how little I can get away with taking. There's a challenge. It's also a dry run for OH's birthday trip next summer, when we intend to fly to Athens and overnight ferry to our idyllic island - again just with hand luggage!

It feels like 'old Catsey' or Classic Catsey already . Long may that remain.

Anyway, just popped in to say hello to my old (in the nicest possible meaning) friends and Hi, Nice to meet you, to new people.
I've had a very quick scan around but don't think I can catch up. Is there anything significant I ought to know?
I have no news (which you may remember suits me fine) - the world keeps spinning and nothing dramatic changes.
The sun is shining! Hurrah!
I will be in Greece in a couple of weeks! Double Hurrah!
How's everyone?
Hi DM, its lovely to see you.....How is everyone???

Re: Daily Thread - Monday

Great to see you back, stranger! Nothing particularly new here, Leia and I are fine. Bad year for tomatoes; three of the five I had succumbed to some sort of a blight, and the remaining ones aren't bearing well. But had an excellent harvest of borlotto beans and onions, and the hot peppers are doing well also; not bad for a small City back yard! Greece sounds lovely: sun and a beach; we'll need pics! And of the boys too, they've been missed also. And we do have a lovely bunch of new members as mentioned above!
