Little luxuries - what are yours?

Stole this from dogsey too.

What are your luxuries in life. Large, small, anything.

Mine are fresh flowers, I love flowers in the house and buy them when I see something that catches my eyes, nose or touch.

I love scented candles and am thrilled when people who don't know what else to buy as a present give me a Jo Malone or Diptyque one I just love nice smells!

Essential oils, especially jasmine and neroli, I think smells are so evocative and can have soothing and uplifting effects. Patchouli sends me right back to the Seventies and early boyfriends One luxury I would have if I won the lottery would be my own masseur
oh, and chocolate... and rose wine... and did I say a nice book? not asking for too much.

Re: Little luxuries - what are yours?

Nice soap! This may sound odd, but in June 2009 I went to our local garden show and bought a bar of organic cucumber and lettuce soap. I was SO SAD when it ran out, I got down to the last slither. Happily, I bought another bar this June and find that I can buy online from the supplier! A little luxury that I don't have to wait a whole year to replace

(I do know I'm a bit odd!)

My luxuries are similar. Scented soaps (so you're not the only weird one Angieh), scented candles and clean white air dried sheets - I'd love to have a fresh pair every night.

Isn't it strange that many of us have a yen for some thing smelly, flowers candles, soap and oils Guess our sense of smell is more important to us than we think.

Re: Little luxuries - what are yours?

My little luxury is different from everyone elses lol. And while it's a 'luxury' it's also a necessity. I try to have a nice mobile phone. I have to have one as I need to be able to contact help at all times, but as I don't drink, smoke, go out I allow myself to have a decent mobile. Just upgraded today to the HTC wildfire, my first android . It's not the flashiest on the market, but tbh, the iphone etc just didn't appeal.
