Pirate.

My silver fawn hoodie rat, Pirate (Pie) died sometime between last night and this morning. We think his heart just gave out.

His time with us was too short, but as usual, there's nothing to be done about it.

It was so surprising and such a shock... I don't know what else to say.

Re: Pirate.

Thanks, Random (it's weird calling you that by the way, because it's my son's name!). I talked to Canis-Equus about it, and we agreed that he did have a happy life... And I know he did.

It's not enough, but I suspect it never is.

To live a good life, then just not wake up one day - what a blessing for him, and what a great loss for you. : /

Re: Pirate.

Snoof - I'm sorry you've lost your dear Pirate. To go in one's sleep is a blessing, and whilst it makes it none the easier for you at least you know Pirate didn't suffer. Big hugs.
