Re: Hello everyone

......but the weather is so mild and wild we haven't even thought of lighting the fire yet! Last year we'd used a load of logs by early December and had to get a second load in for Christmas....and a third to finish the winter.

Shouldn't complain.

it is lovely to have the logs burning - better than TV! and it's so efficient with the log-burner - all the heat into the house instead of up the chimney.

Nat - they get on fine. The pup now knows -'leave the p***ies' - and does!

Re: Hello everyone

I love going up my MIL's for xmas cos they have their fire going and it's sooo cosy. She's got a massive floor cushion and in the afternoon after xmas dinner the kids curl up on it and fall asleep in front of the fire.

It's so realxing, just listening to the crackling of the wood on the fire.....*Nae's gone into dreamland*

Re: Hello everyone

Still so mild we haven't needed the fire on. Nearly lit it a couple of nights ago when we had a power cut but no.

Have made a token gesture and put a lit candle in the fire..........suppose we'll light it properly sometime soon but i'm not wishing it to get colder.

Will take some 'blazing comfort' pics in due course - probably with cats in front!
