Hello!

Hello! I'm Alison and I have an 18 year old cat called Sooty (and 2 bunnies, hence the username!). He has always been fit and healthy but has recently just started to deteriorate, the vet thinks he has a liver tumour so I have to keep more of an eye on him than previously.

He used to belong to some nearby neighbours but they bought a dog and he would no longer go in the house (not that he was there much before that anyway, he didn't seem to like them, he was always at our house!) He used to be fed on the front doorstep and sometimes they wouldn't see him for weeks on end, he survived by catching food and nicking it from our table! My mum wouldn't buy any food for him as she didn't want to encourage him.

When he was about 7 he had a really bad abcess on his leg and they couldn't catch him, so we ended up taking him to the vets and then had to give him tablets. Of course once we had tablets, we had to start feeding him, and he never went home again! After about another year, they came over with a couple of trays and some food and said "you might as well have him, he obviously prefers you to us".

A couple of years after that, I moved out and took him with me
