Re: Fifi hospitalised

((hugs)) so difficult to leave them there and not have them in the comforts of home, hope it will only be for a short time till she is stable enough to be with her Mommy again.

Re: Fifi hospitalised

Hi - spoke to the vet earlier and yes, she a tiny bit perkier. Vet thought I might like to bring her home but I mentioned about Balie being underweight, about him being on steroids recently (suppressed imune system potentially as a result) and she too felt it might be better if she stays put.

I'll call again towards 4pm and we'll see if there is any improvement, if so then I might consider bringing her back, but I want to be sure it's the right move for her and that she'll be OK back here.

Re: Fifi hospitalised

That makes the decision to bring her home more difficult when you have Balie to consider. I suppose the vet is still not able to say for certain whether Fifi has a virus of some kind? Do you have a room that could be an "isolation ward" to keep the risk to a minimum? I am glad she's a bit perkier - hopefully she'll continue to improve.

Re: Fifi hospitalised

Glad to hear she's a bit better! Hard decision, but think you're wise to wait considering the circumstances, much as you'd want her back home. Healing vibes still coming, Yola.

Re: Fifi hospitalised

We have decided that it's better for Fifi to stay at the vets for now. She's taking syringed food readily now but not really eating on her own yet. As I'm back in the office tomorrow I won't be here to keep an eye on her and all things considered, I'd be happier with her having medical staff on hand particularly as she's not especially unhappy there.

So not bad news, just a case of wait and see.
