Jake ill again

Hello all,
I've not been on for a while but I need some advice about jake. About 2 wks ago he came in and it looked like he had been fighting again. He had a little mark above his eye but seemed fine. But yesterday he seemed a little under the weather. It looks like his nose is swollen do you think it could be some sort of infection after this fight he had?
Any advice would be great.
Mandy

Re: Jake ill again

I would think that his under the weather and swollen nose probably have nothing to do with the fight as any infection would have shown itself before now IMO. I do think you ought to get him to the vet though.

Re: Jake ill again

hi took jake to the vets hes got an abscess in his ear. Gave him injection and cleaned it. She said looks like hes been fighting again. I'm really thinking of keeping him in now and maybe get a lead and take him out on that. Mandy.

Re: Jake ill again

Poor Jake! Hope the ABs have him back to normal soon. You CAN harness train an adult cat who's been used to going out; I've done it with Patches. I would imagine it might be a bit more difficult with a male who would have a larger territory; give it a try. PM me if any questions.
