Drinking a lot of water before going to bed seems to make the hangover less awful; dilutes the booze, maybe? Generally works for me, although I rarely drink too much now, as we don't go out for the evening drinking much these days. Chips and pinot grigio...OK by me! Sunny, cold ( -3, wc -9) and still high winds...hope that means if we're getting March weather now we'll get April in March: wishful thinking. Skipped the market this morning, just not in the mood to go out in the cold and wind. Leia hasn't wanted the porch. MrsH, how lovely that your hellebores are blooming; my buds have started to come out of the ground, but will be ages before they bloom with this cold spell. Mine have never set seed, they're about 6 years old now, very large and robust, however, and flower well. Meep, nice to see you back! Hope it's a good day for all. |

Hi, all. Up early here since I have an appointment this morning. My girlfriend graciously offered to drive me and want to make sure I'm ready for her!  Hope she doesn't want to visit inside as the combo of the new furbaby addition (distraction) and my OH taking on multiple projects for his fish tanks in the living room has made it quite a catastrophe area After that, will come home and do chores and play with all the kids and check on my little Lainey and make sure her stitches are still healing nicely (I'm paranoid and keep picking her up to look at them as she's started to feel better and grown quite playful it makes me nervous). Then I'll probably just busy myself with internet and Catsey and maybe catch up on reading...today is usually ferret cage cleaning day but might be lazy and put it off as Lainey is just establishing her scent in there (good excuse, right?) and I'd have to remove her from the cage for awhile to clean it and I just don't know if I trust her in my bedroom yet (the only other room I could put her in if I cleaned). Rainy and overcast today..afraid the sunshine didn't last very long..we had a good run though. Hope everyone is feeling good today and has a wonderful Monday.  |

Afternoon everyone! I just realised that I joined Catsey a whole year ago! I've had such a fun year with all you lovely people  Busy day today, spent most of the morning up to my elbows in a mastiff's abdomen as scrubbed assistant to the vet removing her spleen  Hopefully she'll pull through, such a lovely girl. I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed. |
