Re: Hello Everyone

Hi, Monty, and sorry to welcome you on such a sad note. As has been said, most of us have been thru losing a loved companion and can understand the sorrow you're feeling now. Do talk about her as much as you want; it does seem to help a bit with the loss, unhappiness and emptiness, Would you like to post a pic of her?

Re: Hello Everyone

Thank you everyone for your kind messages - it has comforted me no end!!

A little about my cat family ........
I had two cats, one a stray who "adopted" me at the age of 3 months and another a rescue cat. Minnie the rescue cat was 15 when I had to have her pts in 2009 just after losing my Mum, through chronic renal failure and despite her coming into the household at the age of 5 she was a very indifferent little cat and tolerated my other cat but my favourite and I know we shouldn't have them, was Tina the little stray whom I took in who I have recently lost. She was such a tiny mite despite her long hair. From a very early age she was more like a dog, whenever I went away, she went with me in her little cage on the front passenger seat of the car and what a joy, she loved everyone and they loved her. She would follow me everywhere and yes even to the loo !!! Her bright little eyes didn't miss a trick and the rustle of paper was like a beacon !! She had to have her little pink nose into all my shopping bags on my return from the supermarket !
Every day since losing her I have tears and I find it extremely difficult right now to get through each day without shedding a fearing few tears, it's just the little things I miss like hearing her thump up the stairs to jump on the bed, albeit with a little help from a stool at the end of the bed, and the little noises and sounds she made - she would literally talk to you !! Her nickname was "squib"!!
Well enough for now, and again thanks to all for reading this I suppose I could go on forever but will report back shortly.

Re: Hello Everyone

It is the little things that can just break our hearts ... I agree, she was a special girl indeed. It's early on, but try to remember the happy times ..... it helps.
