Re: Another newbie

Having joined this messageboard and introduced myself, I then had such a busy time that I had no time to post, so I've been catching up with a little reading this afternoon.

I had two cats when I joined, but recently had my beautiful Elderly Girl put to sleep as she was very ill. She was nearly 20, so she had a long and happy life, but I do miss her lovely little squeaks and berks. She always used to sit with me and often rested one of her front paws on my arm. I always thought of it as such a friendly and supportive gesture from her to me.

I'm sure my other cat misses her sister. She hasn't eaten properly since she's been an only cat. I make a lot of fuss of her and gradually she's getting better, but she's lost weight and is no longer a fluffy little teddy bear.

I'm going to continue with my reading. I've seen some lovely pictures on here. I like these pusscat smileys.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your older girl; it's so hard, isn't it? She had a good long life and was well loved.

Leia's eyes aren't really blue as in that pic, that's a reflection from the flash. .They're just an ordinary greenish-yellow and normally reflect green or gold.

What is your cat's name? Any pics of her to post, we do love pics as you no doubt have noticed!

Re: Another newbie

Thank you for the kind messages of sympathy about my lovely girl. The younger one is now perking up a bit, although still not eating properly. She's been sitting on my lap this evening, so that's a good sign. I say younger ... she's 14, but seems like a baby compared to the other one.

I'm not good at posting pictures and don't have any of my girlies on photobucket. I used to call the elderly one Mummy's Angel (yes I know, it's ridiculous isn't it ) and the younger one answers to Popsicle or Popsy. She's a tortie and is very affectionate, but also very wild.
