Re: Excessive bank charges - anybody going to complain to their bank?

I would stress to anybody if they want to reclaim their charges or obtain credit agreements that they do it in the correct way. i.e. read the Consumer Action Group website.

That's very interesting But I would imagine most Credit card companies would not be so silly as to not have the original agreement signed by you!

This is the thread on the Consumer Action Group which relates to obtaining agreements. There is however 2600 replies and it is a very lengthly discussion. But worth the read.

You would be surprised Fran, I have had non compliance by Barclaycard, RBS (now Mint) Sainsburys, and Debenhams.

Their actions (or lack thereof) have saved me in the region of £14k

However most of my agreements do go back further than 10 years.

There is so much info on there, but the best thing to do is find the correct place (even if you post in the newbies section titled - Welcome to our forum) what your issues are and somebody will try and help, at times there is me and a few other members who make sure everybody is directed to the correct forums.

It isn't above your head Fran, it is just a case of reading reading reading, and making sure you are following the correct course of action, if in doubt ask

I was a bit daunted when I first joined up but it does start to sink in...
