Non-rainy Wednesday.

Good morning Pamela and Shelley,
Wednesday afternoon here and it hasn't rained all day.,but still cold. I had a guy come round this morning to set up 3 huge fans in the conservatory and lounge, to try and dry out the carpet. The assessor hasn't shown up yet, but hopefully he will come when he can. I believe there are a lot of people in Christchurch with wet carpets at the moment. I know rain is forecast for tomorrow again, so I'm hoping it's not going to be as bad as predicted. I've spent all day washing towels and blankets that I had down on the floor on the carpet, but I can't get them dry at all. The guy is coming back tomorrow to check on how the carpet is going. The fans are freezing cold and awfully noisy so we won't be able to watch TV tonight in the lounge. Won't be able to hear it anyway, and the room is like an ice box. The cats are terrified and are hiding in the bedrooms - all except Miracle who's braving the cold and lying on my chair right by the biggest fan.

PAMELA, I'm so very sorry that Loonah is unwell Thank goodness that your MIL took her back to the vet straight away, instead of waiting. for the appointment. I do hope she is referred on to a specialist because something needs to be done and fast. Gastric torsion is very serious. It's always a horrible time when your pet is unwell. I've been thinking of Loonah all day and praying that she will respond to the treatment and be able to come home quickly again.. Your poor MIL must be frantic with worry, and I'm sure you and Steven must be worried as well. It's good that you will take Loonah in January. I certainly wouldn't be letting her go back into kennels. At least you'll be able to monitor her eating and health.

SHELLEY, you'll be counting down the days until you're on holiday again. Not long to go now. I hope your dad and his "best friend" had a great time at the van. Is your foot feeling any better now ? I certainly hope so. AND I hope Howard's knee is much better now too.

Well, gotta get out of this lounge before my fingers freeze.

Have a good Wednesday ladies, and hope there is some good news about Loonah today.
