Don't they just look so funny with their lion cuts???

My Dacy looked a bit like that (only not bald) when I got him from CP

But matey in the pic above really does look a tad peed off!!

My Daisy looks a bit like that but she had to be shaved due to medical reason!

Her fur is growing back now - but she still looks funny!

Yeah - but in hot climates it's actually a blessing for them and cools them down considerably!

Re: Poor puss cat!!!

I am sounding ignorant here!
I never realised there were special cuts for cats! I never realised they did this on purpose! I pressumed it was for a matting problem or something like that!

Re: Poor puss cat!!!

Don't worry about it Lianne - I thought is was cruelty to cats when I 1st saw it too!!!!

Having been on some US sites there are lots of people who do this in hotter states (and also in Australia too) it's common practice and if the cats are used to it then they don't need sedation.

I was going to do it to my VERY hairy girl, Fifi in 2003 when it was so hot but the vet advised against it as it would stress her out due to unfamiliarity.
