Getting ChippedMy Two Little Kittens Are Both Getting Chipped Next Week! Feel Awfull For Them Getting A Big Needle Stick Into Them. Ime Sure It Will Not Hurt Them Too Much, But Doo Feel For Them. Ime Sure Plenty Of Tlc Afterwards Will Help ( And For Me!!!!!)

Are you letting yours outside now? We keep ours in until six months and the. Spay/neuter. While under the anaesthetic the Vets microchip them. Just a thought.  |

We Are Going To Keep The In, But We Thought It Was " Better Safe Than Sorry " . We Are Going Away For Three Days Over Christmas And Leaving Them In A Cattery, ( We Have A 7 Hour Car Journey And We Feel That Is Far Too Long Fo Them To Travel), So That's Another Reason They Are Getting Chipped! We Were Going To Leave Them Until They Were Sprayed, But Feel They Should Be Done Before Leaving Them At The Cattery. |

I don't know if yours has been spayed or neutered, but because it is such a. Big needle I would wait till they are under anaesthetic if they haven't been. That is what I'm doing with my little guy! |

Pip was chipped whilst under anaesthetic for his neuter too. The vet recommended this as being easier and better as the chip does not tend to move about if placed whilst the cat is reliably stationary! Monty (dog) was chipped really easily and no anaesthetic was needed. He didn't seem to notice and I didn't look at the needle either!!! |

Harris was chipped when we got him at 5.5month which was before he was neutered. Skyes also chipped but not sure if that was done before or after she was speyed at just over a year old |

Both Rover and Toffee had their chip put in with the second lot of vaccines, so thirteen to fourteen weeks. Neither of them was the least bit bothered. |

Cats are so much more easier to microchip than dogs! (I do microchipping) |

When my lot were all done they didn't flinch, none of them. I felt Jazzy's had slipped a bit after a few years, maybe it's the neck massages that caused them to slip, who knows! |
